Tao Koon Chiam, ADTLaw

M&A specialist, Tao Koon Chiam has joined Ashurst’s Singapore alliance firm, ADTLaw, as Head of M&A for Southeast Asia. He was previously at Allen & Gledhill where he served as co-head of the firm’s venture capital practice and has over two decades of experience.

According to Ashurst’s press release, “Tao Koon is a well-regarded business and legal adviser and a top-notch negotiator specializing in deal structuring and execution for cross-border private equity transactions.”

Xiao Zheng Ko, ADTLaw

ADTLaw has hired M&A specialist Xiao Zheng Ko from Allen & Gledhill as a director in their M&A practice.

According to Ashurst’s press release, “Xiao Zheng has extensive experience acting for private equity funds on transactions throughout Southeast Asia and across various industry sectors, including financial services, digital economy, projects and infrastructure.”

Terence Wong, Loeb & Loeb

Disputes expert Terence Wong joins Loeb & Loeb as a partner in the firm’s Litigation department. He was previously at Winston & Strawn.

At Loeb & Loeb, he will focus on international commercial arbitration and other dispute resolution mechanisms, including mediation, expert determination, and court proceedings.

Wong has over 20 years of experience in Asia and has handled disputes for international clients from Asia, EMEA and the Americas.

Pallavi Bedi, Phoenix Legal

Pallavi Bedi has joined Phoenix Legal as a partner where she will be part of the firm’s Infrastructure, Energy, and Resources practice. She was previously at Luthra & Luthra Law Offices.

Bedi has over two decades of experience and is dual-qualified in India and England. Her clients include project developers and sponsors, investors, energy companies, government, commercial banks, and other financial institutions.

According to Phoenix Legal’s press release, “Pallavi advises clients through all phases of development, construction, financing, and investment in, energy projects (including power (conventional, nuclear, and clean energy), oil & gas, LNG, mining), transportation projects (including, railways, ports, airports), and other infrastructure projects.”
