Mei Yen Tan joins Ascendant Legal
Norton Rose Fulbright’s formal law alliance firm in Singapore, Ascendant Legal has hired Mei Yen Tan from Oon and Bazul to head their restructuring and insolvency practice.
Previous to Oon and Bazul, Tan was partner/director at other local powerhouses, such as WongPartnership and Drew & Napier.
According to Tan’s Linked profile, “(her) main areas of practice include cross-border disputes, consensual and non-consensual insolvency and restructuring, corporate fraud and investigations. She has acted for and advised individuals, multi-national corporations, court-appointed administrators, distressed and special situations funds and banks in Singapore and abroad”.
In Legal Media 360’s Sentiment Index, Tan is positioned in Band 2 for restructuring and insolvency matters.
Stella Cramer moves to Clifford Chance
Market leading technology specialist, Stella Cramer, has joined Clifford Chance as partner and head of its Tech Group in Asia. She is based in Singapore.
Cramer was previously at Norton Rose Fulbright where she was the Co-Head of Intellectual Property & Technology Europe, Middle East and Asia.
A Clifford Chance press release states “Stella brings more than 15 years of working in Asia Pacific and has extensive experience in complex digital and transformational technology projects, platform collaborations and technology transactions, often involving disruptive technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence.”
